InterDive 2023.

Back at the small but nice fair

  • Corner between three countries invites you
  • Familiar atmosphere
  • Great potential for co-operation

At the end of September 2023, Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance once again became the center for all diving enthusiasts (and those who want to become one) in the DACH region. In one of the smaller exhibition halls numerous exhibitors – and of course SHARKPROJECT- found space to offer the visitors a varied program. Our team of eight German, Austrian and Swiss club members mastered the four days of the fair with flying colors.

The InterDive in Friedrichshafen

Due to its cozy size, the InterDive in Friedrichshafen is one of our favorite fair. The hall is clearly laid out, and when you make two rounds, you immediately know all the other exhibitors personally. Of course, these are the best conditions for networking among each other – this can lead to wonderful future projects.

We have always had a close relationship with our colleagues from Ocean Heroes. This is quite logical, since our association founder Gerhard Wegner is the boss. So of course we had to visit each other’s booths. And brand new for the fair: The shark books "UPPS" for small and large shark researchers – including shark research diploma.

Actively doing something for clean oceans: That’s what our colleagues from trshbg stand for, and they do it twice! The garbage collection bags for divers are upcycled products made from discarded recyclable materials. To call them garbage would not do justice to these great bags!

In the long conversations we have born one or the other idea. Keep your eyes open, maybe you will see the output soon!

A very warm team was on site at the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines. Diving connects far beyond national borders! Maybe this can be a cornerstone for future Sharkweeks in the Philippines? We don’t know ourselves, but we will definitely stay in contact with those lovely people!

Stage program

The varied stage program offered space for all kinds of lectures and presentations. From our booth we had a good view on the screen and could enjoy great underwater shots the whole day.

We were also allowed to introduce ourselves: Accompanied by a brand new film, every day either Juliane Höfler (Country Chair SP Germany) and Roger Bischof (Board SP Switzerland) presented our association with a lot of passion.

A lot of news at our booth

You know that we always offer merchandise at fairs, which we use to finance our shark protection projects. This time we had not only the UPPS books hot off the press, but also postcards in six different motifs, shopping cart chips, pine shark teeth, bracelets, wooden fridge magnets and the shark highlight par excellence: our brand new cookie cutters! Christmas can come, we are prepared.
