Skills and Experience

  • During my Doctoral studies in Chemistry, I started seeing the problematic plastic situation we have all over the world, and especially in the oceans. With previous interest and studies in marine biology I was naturally drawn towards finding solutions for the plastic problem, which was rapidly polluting the oceans.

  • I started diving in 2019 and fell in love with the underwater world. I spent some time at a research institute in the Philippines in 2024 where I learned different skillsets for monitoring and restoration of coral reefs. This experience finally sparked something and I applied to work for sharkproject.

  • Over the years I have build up a foundation of understanding for the oceans and the importance to our world, now I hope that with my motivation, project management skills and excellent ability to cooperate I will have success in supporting sharkproject in the mission of saving the sharks.

Why I advocate for shark conservation

Because we need them, because they are under massive threat, not only by shark-finning and fishing industry but by the misconception of people.

Because every living thing deserves to have a great and beautiful life, and if the sharks disappear, this will affect every other beings' chance of having a beautiful life. If they disappear, they will be gone forever.

My favorite quote

Every other animal currently considered stupid and boring has its own amazing secrets. It's just that nobody has been able to discover them yet.
