Skills and Experience
As an adventurous biologist who loves to travel, I have already gained valuable experience in marine conservation in several countries around the world.
My last job in ecotourism on the Cape Verdean island of Sal enabled me to be in the water with lemon sharks every day and share my passion with many people, motivating young and old to save the oceans together.
As a PADI Divemaster and hobby freediver, I naturally prefer to keep my head under water and am always happy about new encounters with marine life.
Why I advocate for shark conservation
An ecosystem can only function if everything is in harmony. As apex predators, sharks are essential for the health and balance of marine ecosystems and therefore also for us humans, because the ocean produces around 50% of the oxygen we breathe in every day. Every year, around 100 million sharks are killed by humans. That is 100 million too many.
My favorite quote
Love the life you live. Live the life you love.
