Why is shark protection or marine conservation important to you?

The oceans are the heart and lungs of our planet. Sharks are one of the most important mechanisms in this ecosystem. If that is not worth protecting, what is?

Do you have any special skills, experiences or adventures?

  • As a CMAS & SSI Dive Instructor, I have lived and worked in Thailand and Indonesia. My personal interest was already there in species science in all its diversity.
  • I studied business administration with a focus on controlling and marketing. This is a good combination for finding the right balance between careful handling of donations and their sensible use in a voluntary organization.
  • Organizational talent, a desire for new things and an affinity for writing mean that, in addition to the usual board duties, I am always happy to immerse myself in new projects.

And which is your favourite shark?

Alopias (lat.)

Fuchshai/Drescher (dt.)

Thresher shark (engl.)

Those who want to will find ways, those who don't will find reasons.
