Why is shark conservation or marine conservation important to you?
For me, the sea is an ongoing miracle. Since most people love the sea, spend their holidays there, eat fish ... they are unfortunately not very interested in the state of the oceans. I am happy to help change that. Because the health of the oceans is existential for the continuation of diversity on this planet.
Do you have any special skills, experience or expertise?
Many years of experience in shark conservation: I have been working for Sharkproject since 2003 and am proud to be a part of its history. From campaign work to corporate design and the shark database, my work has been shaped by my experience. I am happy that in the last few years more and more young people are getting involved with the ocean and the environment and becoming part of Sharkproject.
A special experience for me was to see the Great White Sharks in South Africa and off Guadalupe ... yes - and this insanely intense blue of the Pacific. It's magnificent.
And which is your favourite shark?
Carcharodon carcharias (lat.)
Großer Weißer Hai (dt.)
Great white shark (engl.)
How inappropriate to call this planet Earth when it is clearly Ocean.
