FAQ
You will find the most often asked questions listed here:

Will the whole amount I donate be invested into the project I choose?
Besides charges for bank-transfers and some internal costs (e.g. bookkeeping or controlling) 80% are guaranteed for the chosen project. With this 20% administrative cost-ratio SHARKPROJECT has one of the best input-output ratio. The reason for this minimal costs is sponsoring of equipment and free work of the teams. Internal and external controllers are checking the circulation and use of money. Everything for the sharks – that´s our motto!

Is sponsoring tax- deductible?
SHARKPROJECT e.V. – is a non-profit organisation in the public interest – every benefactor or sponsor of projects in Germany gets an official tax deductible receipt. We are working for similar acceptance in Austria and Switzerland.

Can I participate without being connected to the worldwide web?
Of course! For reasons of simplicity we normally use e-mail and internet as a platform. It will be no problem using postal order for reports. Just let us know!

How can I apply for a sharkproject volonteer program?
Volonteer spots are reserved for project sponsors. Inform us which project you like to participate in, and we forward your email to the respective project leader.

I would like to organize a multimedia lecture for a school or a dive club –
how can I do that?

The lectures we offer last approximately 150 minutes. For elementary or secondary schools they are free of charge, for dive-centers as agreed. Let us know when, where and who and we will check availability and contact you.

How can I contact team members directly?
Easily, through the member area. Project sponsors have the possibility to contact everyone personally. For general questions, the member forum is the ideal plattform where other shark friend communicate and discuss issues. If necessary, an expert will offer his opinion as well.

How do I get the latest news or results concerning the project I sponsored?
The project leader will contact you 3 or 4 times a year via e-mail, will report latest news and scientific findings regarding the project. In any case you are “on the pulse” before the press or the public is informed. In between you can contact “your” project leader within the member area to ask questions.
